Velodrome & BMX Taster
Session Length: 60 minutes Track | 60 minutes BMX (30 minute break between sessions)

One action packed day experiencing the two London 2012 tracks at Lee Valley VeloPark. You'll get the chance to take part in a Track Taster session to learn the key techniques of riding our 250m velodrome track before taking on the BMX track and all its different features. At the end of the session you can relax in our cafe and take home a memento of the day.
Essential Information
- Bike and helmet hire is included with this session
- Track mitts/cycling gloves must be worn and can be hired from us
- We would recommend wearing cycling shoes; if you have your own, Look-Keo cleats are compatible with bikes provided, if you don’t own your own, Look Keo Cleated cycling shoes can be hired from us. Normal trainers can also be worn for our experience sessions if preferred.
- For the track session shoulders must be covered , for the BMX session arms and legs must be covered
- BMX Taster session must be passed before riders can attend SkillSeries, RaceReady and Pay and Ride sessions
- If you weigh more than 109kg (17st 2lb), unfortunately you wouldn't be able to hire one of our bikes, however you would be able to ride the track on your own track specific bike
- If you're under 130cm (4ft 5ins) tall and want to hire a bike from us please contact us before making a booking so that we can discuss your requirements
- You must arrive and report to Lee Valley VeloPark reception at least 30 minutes before your session is due to start. Late arrivals will not be able to ride and will not receive a refund
- During the winter months BMX sessions maybe delayed or cancelled depending on weather / track conditions. Cancellation of the session could be on the day
